Forever after

She was confused. In her madness, she was heading to the room towards the terrace. She was walking slowly and each step made her more steeped like plunging into a soft, viscous mud. She was passing by the small lattice bed in which she cried every night before sleep, the dusty table and chair, the only objects in that cold room. Thrown on the floor were dozens of letters written by herself, surrounded by flowers almost moldy; among them you could see a picture in which you could barely distinguish the image. You could see only the scene behind the two people whose faces were erased through time. A hugged him and her. Behind them, a large and troubled blackish water.

She was walking hypnotized at the open terrace. To herself, she was heading towards the light. "Stop with this nonsense!",  "Don't do things without thinking! You'll be sorry!", "The lil'lady needs a tough treatment; she'll be kept under observation", "I stood by you once, twice, but the third time I won't swallow this bulls%$#t anymore, you're on your own", "We are on your side , but I tell you, it's very wrong what you're doing", "We'll succeed  together even if we'll turn everybody against us", "Where are you now? Oh, no! I beg you, come home! Don't you realize that it can happen the worse you? "," Every story ends, in one way or another, nothing in this world is forever!"," Everything is just in your head, don't you see that you're crazy? "

She was hearing voices in her head, thoughts of her family, friends, doctors and of the one because of which she was here.

While voices kept spinning in her head, her facial expression was the same. Cold and distant, she was looking somewhere into the void, breating lifeless. At the sight of other mentally ill patients who were minding their own business frantically applauding something that existed only in their imagination, she smiled silly and sweet.

As though she knew that everything is nonsense.

She raised her right leg on the railing, then the left one and outstretched her arms to the sun that whispered through his beams without being afraid to embrace the light.

She started laughing obsessively loud, thing which annoyed the crazy women from the ground floor terrace, who stopped the applause and looked frightened and confused at their suffering colleague. One of them even shouted: "Look at the porcelain doll! She's going to break into pieces!"

She felt wrapped into a pleasant dizziness and scream as loud as she could : " I laugh and cry, tremble and moan, breathe, listen, dream, hope and ... Finish!" and immediately left her body to fly away from the gloomy room.

Floating in the agony before death, she heard angels speaking:
"And ... how much she continued to love him? She did stop oneday, right?"
"No, she didn't stop, she's going forward with it. It's like infinity. It won't stop anywhere, it'll go on on forever."
