The journey started...

So.. I left Klaipeda at 4 am to arrive in Palanga airport at 5. Nobody was there. Not even the airport staff. It was just me and a frog. They had only one gate. No ATMs. Nobody who spoke English. No ID or passport were required when I checked in. And the funny thing, on my way to Palanga the taxi driver was listening to Alexandra Stan. In the airport I heard O-Zone – Dragostea din Tei. Romanian songs, ha ha ha.

Embarkation on the ship was ok, everybody was welcoming me to the ship, it took 3 days to get all the paper work done. I didn't work on the first day. But the few days after... pff...

When dealing, my hands shake. I paid a loosing bet to someone at Blackjack. Like he had 15, I had 16, I paid him 25 $ or something. Facepalm immediately.

I even started to panic when a Chineese guy came and put 100 $ on the table at Blackjack. In my mind was “ Why aren't you playing by 5 or 10$ ?!”

And Roulette... I couldn't remember anything from training, it felt like I was stuck somewhere.

But players and guests are very nice. I meet them outside the casino and they stop me and say “Just relax... we are friends, you have nothing to be scared of.”

In both Dubrovnik and Kotor the sea was rough, I was at work on an empty Blackjack table, waiting for players and I was so dizzy... never happened before. Everything was spinning around me. I was never seasick and I didn't know what was happening. When was dealer change, I went to the Supervisor and asked if was it me or the ship was moving hard. But it was the ship. Very confusing sensation. It's like you're drunk but without the happy and relaxed part :)

And my casino mates go to the crew bar every night after job. I just went there 3 or 4 times, drinking one can of cranberry juice. Brother's order :)

And here I am, first day out from the ship after one week.

ps. I miss home SO damn much.
